I got a 9800x3d and a 9070 a few weeks ago, as well as my motherboard. Wasn’t planning on starting my build quite yet but figured the risk of everything exploding in price was too high to not get a move on.
Being landed gentry must have helped in getting your hands on one!
Couldn’t find any near me at less than $200 over MSRP :(
I managed to get it about $100 over MSRP from Best Buy out of sheer luck. Ultimately what pushed me to get moving on this. I was poking around for kicks on the very small chance I’d get lucky and somehow I did ha. ~$700 eagles once tax/shipping/etc. all factored in

The new 2025 laptops with 50xx gpus are exceedingly expensive. We’re talking MacBook pro with 32GB ram prices!
I do find it really funny that, bang for buck, you really can’t beat a Mac mini right now. $1000 gets you an M4 with 24gb ram/512gb SSD. Plus a bunch of TB4 ports. Those M chips smoke too.
But then…you’re trapped on a Mac lol
And the stocks are so low that its impossible to buy
